Meta launched Meta One business plans on 15 September 2026, a tiered subscription system running from $2.99 a month for a single app up to $499 a month for its top business tier. The plans (Essential, Advanced, Expert, and Max) gate things like verified badges, longer content scheduling windows, exportable analytics, and higher Meta Business Agent capacity behind a monthly fee. Meta says the free core experience isn't going anywhere. The paid tiers are where the AI usage and business tooling live.
What Are Meta One's Business and Creator Plans?#
Meta One's business and creator tiers, launched 15 September 2026 per Meta's own announcement, start at Essential ($14.99/month) and scale through Advanced ($49.99/month), Expert ($149/month), to Max ($499/month), with each step adding more account management and AI tooling than the last.
At WebEpex we manage Meta ad accounts and social profiles for clients across the GCC, Europe, USA, Canada, and Indian SMB markets, so a new paid layer on top of the tools we already touch daily is worth fifteen minutes of our attention the day it lands, not a month later.
Here's roughly what each business tier adds, per Meta:
- Essential ($14.99+): verified badge, WhatsApp Business channel, impersonation protection, enhanced Meta Business Agent access
- Advanced ($49.99+): story scheduling up to 30 days out, links in organic posts and reels, exportable analytics, team account access
- Expert ($149+) and Max ($499+): the highest tiers of Business Agent capacity and feature access, aimed at operations running at scale
Meta reports 15 million subscriptions and trials across Meta One so far, and more than 50 features shipped at launch across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Meta AI, with Edits and its AI glasses line getting the expansion next.
Essential's "enhanced Business Agent access" is worth flagging on its own. We covered that same agent getting an AI upgrade from Stilla in August. Meta is now charging for a deeper version of the tool it gave away a month earlier.
Does This Affect You If You're a Small Business?#
If you post occasionally and don't run paid content scheduling or analytics tools today, probably not. The free tier still covers standard posting, a Meta Business Agent, and basic account management. Meta was explicit that the core experience stays free.
If you're already paying separately for a scheduling tool, an analytics export, or team-seat access to your business accounts, this is worth ten minutes of comparison shopping. Advanced, at $49.99 a month, covers ground that a lot of small teams are currently paying two or three other subscriptions to cover, a different flavor of the same math we walked through in what Meta ads management actually costs.
The Honest Trade-offs#
The gated features are real and specific, not vague "AI power" marketing. Thirty-day scheduling and exportable analytics are things a business actually uses, not a checkbox feature.
What's unproven: whether this is the ceiling or the opening price. Meta's already run one subscription expansion this year — Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus, and WhatsApp Plus launched in March 2026 at $2.99 to $3.99, and September's launch bundles those in and adds four business tiers on top. That pattern of widening AI-agent access and then pricing it is the same shape we flagged when Meta opened its Ads MCP connectors to every developer: it's becoming a habit, not a one-off.
My read: a company that's shipped two subscription expansions in six months, backed by a $14.3 billion bet on Scale AI, is building a business model here, not running a limited promotion. I wouldn't assume today's prices are where this settles.
How We're Handling It#
We reviewed Meta One the day it launched and ran Advanced's analytics export and 30-day scheduling against what we currently deliver clients through Meta Business Suite plus our own reporting layer. The export saved us a manual step we'd normally build with an API pull; the scheduling window didn't change much, since our content calendars already plan further out than 30 days for most clients.
We're not moving every client onto a paid tier by default. We're recommending Advanced specifically where a client's team already needs multi-seat account access or where the analytics export replaces a tool they're paying for elsewhere: case by case, not as a blanket upsell.
What I'd Tell a Client Asking About This#
Check what you're already paying for scheduling, analytics, or team access to your Meta accounts before you add a tier. If those tools cost more than $49.99 a month combined, Advanced likely pays for itself. If you're not using any of that today, the free tier hasn't changed for you, so there's nothing to do this week.
If you want a second opinion on whether Meta One replaces anything in your current stack, send me what you're running and I'll tell you straight, takes two minutes and you don't have to buy anything. [cal.com/webepex/growth-review]
